With a Costa Rican heritage the artist, Harriet Muller, has a vibrant sense of colour and her Latin American roots are manifested in the magical realism aspects of her work.

Having worked in film, television and theatre, Harriet is fascinated by narrative. She often sees her paintings as stills from a film: a glimpse of a story in which the viewer decides the beginning and end but always allowing for multiple shades of meaning.

Harriet has studied widely in the arts including Fine Art at the University of Seville and has an MA in Modern and Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge. She has exhibited in London, Cambridge, Seville and San José, Costa Rica and is a member of the United Society of Artists.
